Year 8 visit Medina Mosque

On Monday 10th October, Year 8 students visited the Medina Mosque in Southampton as part of their Philosophy and Religions studies. They were welcomed by Imam Saleem and taken to the upstairs prayer hall, where they listened to a very interesting talk about the Five Pillars, - the core beliefs in Islam. The students were able to ask questions throughout the talk, after which they had a tour of the Mosque which included two further prayer halls, the library and the mortuary. The students enjoyed the visit, and it was pleasing to hear Imam Saleem say how impressed he had been and that he would be delighted to welcome them back in the future.
